History & Potential
Hoodieonly started from the belief that a single hoodie can change daily life and culture. Hoodies originated in the 1930s when Champion (then Knickerbocker Knitting Company) created hooded sweatshirts for athletes and workers to keep warm. Over time, these practical garments became symbols of youth culture and street fashion, and today they are essential items that move between runways and offices. We are fascinated by this ability of hoodies to transcend eras and cultures.
Birth of the Brand
Hoodieonly was born out of the passion of someone who loves hoodies more than anyone. My favorite clothing item has always been the hoodie, and after trying many brands I thought: “Why are there specialist brands for T‑shirts, denim or knitwear but none that truly focus on hoodies?” That question led me to create a brand by someone who truly understands hoodies. Knowing I couldn’t do it alone, I assembled a team of the finest pattern makers, sewing artisans, dyeing experts and textile designers in Korea. We devote meticulous care to every step, from selecting fabric to sewing, dyeing and design.
Power of Focus
At Hoodieonly we focus on one item because it allows us to perfect every detail. Our base hoodie is made from 100% cotton—soft, breathable and the core of true comfort. Once this foundation is mastered, we enhance durability and stretch with blends of polyester or spandex when needed. Smooth and long‑lasting zippers, drawstrings and stoppers are selected based on how they feel and function rather than price. This obsession with materials, accessories and silhouette sets Hoodieonly apart.
Pattern & Quality
Hoodies may look simple, but countless pattern refinements and techniques lie beneath. We repeatedly tweak patterns to prevent sagging at the neck and shoulders, adjusting sleeve proportions, pocket placement and hood depth so each hoodie fits perfectly and holds its shape. Our commitment to improving fabrics, hardware and patterns underpins the quality promise at Hoodieonly.
